Specialtea Teas - Organic Caribbean Cooler

Another tea friend and I have been splitting a lot of tea orders, and this was one of them. We both purchased several samples from Specialtea Teas because we found them very enticing on the site, but neither of us has had any experience with the company.  That can make for a very hit or miss experience, but since the site says that the teas are organic and hand blended, that's a great start.

Do You Tea? - Raspberry Rejuvenation

One of the things that attracted me most to Do You Tea? is that all of her signature blends are hand blended in small batches onsite in New Jersey. I am always excited to find a company that has some of their own blends instead of just reselling blends from some of the big wholesale companies. Kelly, the owner, is passionate about tea and even has on her website that if someone doesn't see a blend that appeals to them, she can create a new one. How can you beat that?

Tin Roof Teas - Turkish Delight

Tin Roof Teas is based in Raleigh, NC. They have everything from raw honey to kava kava to truffles. It sounds like a foodie paradise and I really want to go there! Their tea selection is broad and includes their own custom blends as well as teas sourced from Tea Gschwendner. If my experience online and over the phone with Ryan at Tin Roof is any indication of the in-person experience in their store, their customer service is bound to be great. I emailed Ryan and inquired about purchasing some teas to review, and his response was, "Sure, give me a call!" We had a long conversation on the phone and his excitement for all things tea was evident.

Regency Tea - Sticky Toffee Pudding

Happy Father's Day to everyone out there! I would like to say a special thank you to the men who are fathers by choice, not by blood. I am married to one of those and he has been a strong positive influence in both my life and the lives of my daughters.

Special Dark Ripe Pu'er 2006 - Mandala Tea

Maybe it was the storms, or maybe the fact that it was dark so early last night. For some reason I really wanted to drink some pu'erh and I wanted to do it by candlelight. So, I did. You could subtitle this post "Pu for beginners" because I am still very new to it.
